How we handle information you share with us through this website.
Effective date: September 28, 2026 · Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BWS Company LLC, doing business as The BWS Company (“BWS,” “we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses and discloses information in connection with www.thebwscompany.com (the “Site”). It applies only to this Site and not to any other website, service or offline activity.
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you enter: your first and last name, email address, telephone number, the property or market you are asking about, whether you identify as a landowner or a builder/buyer, and the content of your message. All of these fields are required in order to submit the form. Please do not send us sensitive personal information — such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or health information — through this Site.
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address (used to derive approximate geographic location, such as city or region), browser and device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<container-id>) on your device to distinguish one visitor from another and to measure return visits. These cookies typically persist for up to two years unless you delete them.
We use Google Analytics for measurement only. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising personalization features on our Analytics property, which means we do not use Analytics data to build advertising audiences, to run remarketing, or to track you across other websites or apps for advertising purposes. Our Analytics data retention period is set to 14 months.
You can learn how Google collects and processes data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media tracking pixels, or session-recording tools on this Site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to the service providers below, and only so they can perform services for us:
We may also disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process; to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business or assets, in which case the information would remain subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiry, to evaluate land acquisition and builder partnership opportunities, to communicate with you about a potential or pending transaction, to operate, secure and improve the Site, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
When you submit our contact form, you consent to be contacted at the email address and telephone number you provide, including by telephone call and text message, for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and discussing a potential transaction. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or sale. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message, telling us during a call, or emailing [email protected]. If we ever send commercial email, every message will contain an unsubscribe link, and honoring it will stop those messages.
We keep inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to evaluate and pursue the opportunity and to satisfy our legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations, and we delete or archive them when they are no longer needed for those purposes. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
The Site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We maintain administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request that we provide, correct or delete the personal information you submitted to us, or that we stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected] or writing to the address at the end of this Policy. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not discriminate against you for making a request. Because we do not maintain online accounts, the practical way to review or change what you have submitted is to contact us directly.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law — including the right to confirm whether we process your personal information, to access or delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of any sale or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and we do not engage in targeted advertising, so there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise. To make any other request, contact us using the details below. You may designate an authorized agent to act for you, and you may appeal a denied request by replying to our response.
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. There is no industry-accepted standard for how to respond to them, and this Site does not respond differently to DNT signals. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal does not change how we handle your information.
We do not authorize third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this Site. The service providers listed in Section 2 receive only the limited data described there, for the purposes described there.
The Site is intended for business and commercial audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and post the revised Policy here. Material changes will be indicated by a prominent notice on this page for at least 30 days following the change. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
